Terms of Service
Effective 2026-07-25
Agreement
These terms govern your use of the services ExoPriors operates: exopriors.com, scry.io and its APIs, tweets.sh, academicpapers.io, and pairwiseratio.org. By using them you accept these terms. If you are using the services on behalf of an organization, you accept them for that organization.
The services
Scry provides research access — read-only SQL, typed search, and vector search — over corpora built from publicly available internet content. Related services provide dataset downloads and published benchmark results. Scry is in alpha: corpus, indexes, and interfaces move quickly, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the services at any time. We make no availability commitment, and the services are not a system of record — keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Accounts
Keep your credentials and API keys confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account. Give us accurate contact information so we can reach you about your account and billing. We may revoke keys or require credential rotation when we judge it necessary to protect the service.
Credits and billing
Paid usage draws from prepaid credits, with spend controls you configure. Payments are processed by Stripe. Purchases are final except where the law says otherwise; beyond that, refunds are at our discretion. Promotional credits have no cash value and may be adjusted or expired. Pricing — including congestion pricing — may change at any time. For questions about a charge, email [email protected].
Acceptable use
Do not use the services to break the law, do not attempt to circumvent query isolation, read-only enforcement, rate limits, or billing, do not probe or disrupt infrastructure that serves other users, and do not resell or white-label access to the services without a written agreement with us. We may throttle, limit, or suspend any account to protect the service and other users.
Content and results
Corpus content originates from public sources and remains subject to whatever rights attach to it at its origin; we surface provenance so you can check. We may remove, restrict, or decline to index any content at our discretion. Query results are provided as research material without warranty of accuracy or completeness — verify against the cited source before relying on a result. You own the queries you write; you grant us the license needed to execute, log, and analyze them in aggregate to operate and improve the service; and you are responsible for your use of what they return, including its compliance with applicable law and third-party rights.
Dataset artifacts
Bulk corpus artifacts (including those sold on tweets.sh) consist of publicly posted third-party content collected from the open web, together with our curation, deduplication, and packaging. A purchase conveys delivery of that compilation, not ownership of the underlying content — copyright in individual posts remains with their authors, and you are responsible for your own downstream use complying with applicable law. Authors of included content can request removal by writing to the product's support address with a link to the content; verified requests are honored in every later snapshot.
Software
The services and their software belong to ExoPriors or its licensors. Our open-source software, such as cardinal-harness, is governed by its own published license rather than these terms.
Disclaimer and liability
The services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ExoPriors is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, and our total liability arising out of the services is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Indemnity
If your use of the services in violation of these terms or the law draws a third-party claim against ExoPriors, you will defend and indemnify us against it.
Termination
You can stop using the services and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access at any time if we believe an account violates these terms or puts the service, other users, or ExoPriors at risk; where practical we will say why.
Changes and law
We may change these terms; changes take effect when posted on this page with a new effective date, and continued use of the services accepts them. For material changes to a paid service we will make reasonable efforts to notify account holders. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute belongs exclusively to the state or federal courts located in California. If part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest stands; our not enforcing a provision does not waive it; you may not assign these terms without our consent, while we may assign them as part of a reorganization or sale; and these terms are the entire agreement between us about the services.
